In mid-January 2015 I will begin a postdoc in the Networked & Embedded Systems Laboratory (NESL) at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). I will be working with Mani Srivistava on energy-accuracy trade-offs in time synchronisation over large baselines and m-Health. At the same time I will continue my own research on robot simulation and positioning. I am excited about this move and I look forward to working in a new field, and with a new team.
As excited as I am about the future, I am also sad to leave University College London (UCL). Over the last year I have gained so much from this university, and I cannot sing its praises any more than I have already. What distinguishes UCL Engineering is the fact that it actively promotes a collaborative, supportive and friendly atmosphere in which researchers work together to solve real problems.
